Blog Design//Study on Style

I recently had the lovely pleasure of designing my good friend Sara's blog Study on Style. She recently ditched her old blog for something new and fresh (which I completely understand doing!). After struggling with the design of her new blog, I offered my services. I had a laugh when she gave me three requirements:

1. Pink
2. Glitter

The Poppy Crew is Expanding!

We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

 Assistant Fashion Editor

 - Work alongside our Fashion Editor (Sara Neely).
- Provide original content for the magazine.
- Communicate with companies about the magazine.
- Assist Sara on creating Lookbooks, Inspiration Boards, and curating our Fashion Section
- Must have excellent time management skills


Features Editor

- Brainstorms ideas for the larger-scale articles
- Communicates with companies, clients, sponsors, photographers, and other contributors to successfully pull together larger articles
- Provide original content for the magazine
- Must have excellent time management skills


Web Designer

- Works with the Editor-in-Chief and Executive Editor to design the website
- Updates website regularly as well as after the release of every new issue


Executive Editor

- Works along side our Editor-in-Chief (Lindsay Boland) and our Art Director (Mackenzie Clarke) to release a new issue every two months.
- Provides original content for the magazine
- Helps to manage new articles that are constantly being written
- Works well with deadlines and has excellent time management skills
- Creates relationships with companies, sponsors, small businesses, contributors, and the team

Fashion Night Out with Belk and Jones New York

Fashion Night Out is one of the largest Fashion events this week (other than Fashion Week, of course). It is the one day where stores across the country come together and celebrate fashion all in one night! I had the lovely pleasure of attending a Fashion Night Out event here in Raleigh. Last night I hit up the Jones New York fall preview event at Belk! Take a look at all of the fun!

In addition to sitting front row with the lovely Brooke and Mia, we snacked on cookies, cupcakes, and goodies from Dylan's Candy Bar. Glamour provided us with the latest issue and -of course- there was champagne!

Nail Files: Gold Tips

 I am pretty much a nervous wreck. I have never done a nail post before and I now can sympathize with the people who do them all the freakin time. They are not easy so please, bare with me as I struggle through my first. Oh, and yes, I do have the chubbiest hands/fingers in the entire continental US.

I think one of the main reasons why everyone reads blogs (other than seeing other people's creativity) is to get a sneak peek into their life- or a snippet. Well, here is a little snippet of mine...

1. My sister has a wicked cool vintage record player in her room/my office
